WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Melissa is based in the Bayside area of Cleveland, Brisbane and is happy to work with clients across Australia.
IS THERE PARKING AT THE DESIGN STUDIO?
Melissa has her interior design studio in a residential property, so there is on street parking. For more information about the initial consultation, please see our “Design Services”.
HOW LONG ARE CONSULTATIONS?
It is necessary to book an appointment with Melissa as the initial consultation usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours. For more information about the initial consultation, please see our “Design Services”.
WHO DO WE WORK WITH?
Melissa collaborates with architects, landscape architects, builders and trusted contractors to deliver thoughtfully considered interiors from concept through to completion.
As part of her full interior design service, Melissa prefers to work alongside her handpicked network of trusted tradespeople, ensuring confidence in delivering a consistently high standard throughout every stage of the project.
HOW LONG DO PROJECTS USUALLY TAKE?
Every project is unique, so timeframes can vary depending on the scope of work, level of detail, availability of materials, and contractor scheduling. Melissa will guide you through the anticipated timeline throughout each stage of the process.
Smaller interior decorating projects may take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, while medium-scale projects can take around six months. Large renovations and new-build projects may span from twelve months to two years, depending on the complexity of the design and construction process.
WHAT IS THE FEE PROCESS?
Following our complimentary 15-minute discovery call, your initial in-home design consultation includes a personalised meeting with Melissa. This consultation typically spans a duration of 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing time to discuss your vision, lifestyle, functionality, and the finer details of your space.
Consultation investment varies depending on the scope, location, and level of design detail required. Please contact Melissa for a tailored proposal.
WHEN IS PAYMENT REQUIRED?
To ensure a seamless design experience, consultation and project bookings are confirmed upon payment of the required deposit. A tailored proposal outlining project stages and payment schedules will then be provided.
WHO WILL BE WORKING ON MY PROJECT?
Melissa, Principal Designer will be working from start to finish guiding you through your project.
HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE THROUGH THE PROJECT?
We will email you at the end of each week on a Friday, with a progress report. Telephone calls and meetings are always part of the process during the project.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF WORK?
Melissa’s working hours are between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
On large or urgent projects, these hours may be extended.
